How much should I charge for this website?

Im new to the website business
i have had 4 good paying clients. i usually charge around $800 for a 5-6 page site. now i have a current client that want a site that is going to keep me really busy. its a site were beauticians can put a mini resume online . she is charging them $200 setup fee. she said she will give me half of the setup fee and i can keep the monthly charge of $25. just so the website wont be boring i will be creating 3 template that the stylist can choose from. im thinking about charging my client $1500 for the site. now this client has put my name out there for doing websites. she kinda wants a discount. my question is...how much of a discount should i give her for putting my name ouf there to people who need websites. And is $1500 too much. Any input would be good.

That's a tough one. I'm in the same situation.

I'm starting an on-line surf shop for a guy that I've know for 18 years and he always knocks a few dollars off when I buy something from him. I really want to give him a fair deal but I really don't know what to charge him. Fifty+ brands that are broken down into shorts, hats, pants, t-shirts, jackets...etc. and at least 200 pages of products. I'm doing the front-end for the site and I'm using yahoo store for the back-end.

Anyone try something this big and what's a fair price? I've asked this question in the professional forum but I'm just looking for more input as well.

simple possibility ... first decide what you'd charge to build it for a Ms. Terri Bodie.

Once you have that firm in your mind, decide if the exisitng relationship warrants a price reduction of 3%, 8%, 12% or more.

Then quote your person the full price, declare your intent to provide a discount of X%, and thus the actual price will be ____

i get paid only Rs.7000/site i.e. $150 a site.. to promote..
but as i m new i m juz 19.. so thats nice with me..
