First time post, looong time lurker.

I'm just trying to find if its possible to recovery old DNS records for a domain name. Basically a client has prematurely changed the records to our host server. We would like to change it back, but they/us have no idea what the DNS records where previously.

We have also tried to find out what the previous host was, with no luck.

We checked our mail logs to see where they where previously pointing, easy.

Glad you managed to get it resolved. I guess this is a lesson to us all to make sure we have an up to date backup of such records to hand.

In most cases you can contact your web host and ask then to either back up your records or provide you with your old settings.
