uploading photos

i need help

im trying to upload a photo to my site but i keep running into the same problem its uploading and then not displaying the photo its coming up with that rex x in the corrner saying no photo iv tryed changing the file permistion in the image directory but not having any luck. any ideas how this could be happening?

How are you uploading the file? If are are using FTP, ensure that you are using binary mode. Transferring using ASCII mode will generate the same behavior you are experincing.

im uploading through my website im not sure what its uploading in as i purchased the script didnt build it myself. how would i be able to tell what im uploading in through my website? im not uploading via ftp just a php page. thanks

when you changed the file permissions did you use 777?

It is possible that the script may be trying to use a feature that is not supported by your host.

It would be worth looking into the system requirements for the script then checking with your hosting provider to make sure they are supported.

yea i used 777 il check into the host and the script but im prity sure it meets all the requirments. thanks
