Why does google only index one page?

Hi all,
Hope someone can help me with this.
I can't get google to index more than my default page.
I have been very careful not to spam my pages with keywords, so I don't think this is the problem - msn has listed six pages so far, so other bots don't find any problems...
I have made a sitemap for google, and have it downloaded regularly. There are no errors in the sitemap.
I use asp in my code, does this mean trouble?
I have tried submitting another page than the default page to google, but stil no result.
It's been three months now, since the default page got indexed.
My stats show me that two googlebots have been to the site, I've have many hits, but only one visit. Maybe my statssoftware is all bonkers?
I have several ingoing links to my site (which are now supplying me with most of my traffic) and my PR is 1.
Please elp with some advice - I have run out of ideas of what to do.

I still don't understand why anyone submits to the search engines, they don't help. Even if they were to accept you through the search submission, you won't rank for nothing, so why do it? Anyway, back to the subject, it sounds like your web site needs more backlinks and with a PR of 1 your not going to get visited by the spiders often, you'll be lucky to see them once a month.

Go get some links from web pages that have a good Page Rank (5 and up.) or ones that have a large number of backlinks and from web pages that have few outbound links.

I already have several ingoing links - and I do get visits from google, so I don't think this is the problem...

If you want to sticky me the domain i'll have a quick look. But more than likely is down to time. Google will only revisit small websites with a low PR every few weeks.

Google happily indexes and revists my .asp pages
I'd work on building more links and getting them directly to internal pages.
A good, validated robots.txt is a must.
Running a spider through the site to see what Google sees is also a worthy excercise.

Be cautious in assuming that that was the sole cause. Cover all bases.
