I have been seeking an answer to this for a while and I don't think there is a way, or at least, I havent found it. I've been using Yahoo Sitebuilder for 4 months now, my next step is probably the Frontpage. Yahoo Sitebuilder is a great software but it has few short commnigs. One of them is the insertion of HTML code which can cause your page to distort. That's my big problem.

When I'm (mostly lurking and learning) at this forum, I tend to shy away from talking about the program I use to build my own sites, but if the HTML purists will look the other way for a moment... :-o
If you basically like using online sitebuilders but want to get rid of the--often major--limitations, I'd suggest you check out CuteSiteBuilder from Globalscape (no affiliation), the same company that puts out CuteFTP, which I've seen mentioned in this forum. What I like about CSB is that you can begin using it with the same level of ease as most online sitebuilders, but unlike them it gives you room to grow. For example, it has an "insert HTML" function that does not distort your page, so as you learn more HTML you can incorporate it. You can also have your site hosted wherever you want.
A big drawback if you eventually want to do all your own coding is that CSB doesn't give you direct access to edit your source code (except for what you manually insert), but I don't think the online sitebuilders do, either. FrontPage or Dreamweaver would allow you to do that.
I'm a writer who uses a website to host my writing, rather than a website builder who writes content, so my feeling is that I'm better off letting CSB handle most of the HTML. Your mileage definitely may vary.
