Does it cost anything to accept paypal payments from your site? Also, is it possible to do this using a free website?

They do not charge a monthly fee, but they do charge a percentage: [paypal.com...]

Yes, as long as your host allows it.

Please also note that whatever e-mail address you use to setup your paypal account is the e-mail address that is displayed at checkout for your customers. If you are using a free website service, you won't have access to using an e-mail address like - you@yourdomain.com, you will probbaly use a free one or your isp's. Just make sure that you use one that you want displayed to all of your customers.
