Help with My First Site

I'm setting up a database-driven site and having enormous difficulties getting through the 4 steps (under Application at the right of Dreamweaver interface) to "use dynamic data on this page".

My hosting provider is Interland, so the database is completely housed on the server. I need to be able to access it through Dreamweaver so I can preview my search page, results page, etc. on my computer.

Is this even doable?

Yes easily do-able :)

To test your site locally you would need to install and run a web server such as Apache, you also need a database server.

What is your web hosts current configuration?

To find out see: [searchengineworld.com...]

type in your URL and it will return details of the software that your particular server is running.

Then you would need to duplicate this setup locally.

I can't really help any more until I know the setup.

If I understand what you are asking for correctly you could just download a PHP or ASP development kit and preview the pages locally and then just upload them to your server.
