How do you get started in web design?
By taking the plunge...
Most people who get started in web development will either buy or download some form of HTML editor. This will enable you to build a website without having to do the coding yourself, a program will build it for you. Normaly you are able to switch between normal and HTML view. You should do this so that you can see for yourself how the code is built as the page develops, this is the start of you learning how to write HTML. You can learn to build a website in about a week , but you will speand years learning how to improve on your skills. You constantly learn new techiques and tips that help you along the way You begin to get confident about being able to build entire pages using notpad instead of an editor. You will then have a site on the web that you are proud of... But you want more people to see it, you start trying to master the art of SEO. Thats never going to be an easy task you spend months trying to optimise your pages for Googlebot, Scooter and Co to come and visit and rip away at the code you have written as they take it away to scrutanise you wait for the update and find you are on page 33 of the results. You go back and find out what you did wrong. you try again, you improve your pages you never give up then finaly your site apears where it deserves to be and you think back... and say
"I did that"
:)
