How do I make changes to a bunch of files at once.

Stupid question:

How do I make a change to one bit of anchor text across my whole site. I use Crimson Editor and FileZilla. I am new to the PC, I could do it with Grep or with bbedit on a Mac. Should I go get some kind of PC grep or is there a utility for this purpose. I don't want to use Dreamweaver or anything like that...

"search and replace" in google.com will give the best tool for mass search and replace function. Even for so many files or placed so many DIR.

I was using way too complex search queries! Which is probably a good lesson for me when designing pages.
