url forwarding,url masking issues

some content not visible when i type domain name

hello everyone,
This is my first post here so pls dont ban me if i posted in the wrong forum.
anyway here is the problem,i have registered a domain at godaddy.com and i have my html files in my university account. i have activated url forwarding and url masking at godaddy.com but what happens is many features on my site is not visoble.
for example
1) my site search box thru google is not visible on my homepage
2) my free counter is also not visible.

I am new to website development but when i see page source my content is not visible but the link of my website is enclosed within frames, thgh some content is not visible. someone pls help me....tnx

Not sure about the google Search, but some counters, at least the free ones, are executables that need to be put in a directory that can execute the code. Usually a cgi-bin or scripts directory. If godaady does not give you access or does not give such a directory, you will not be able to run your counter.

If the counter is an off-site service that keeps track of hits, then I just don't know.

thnx webdude for the advice,
i have stopped using my univ account and have now bought a low end hosting service which has some good features.
so now i am able to enable counters and all the other site gadgets..

i am using CSS and i kinda thght that it would help it maintain structure under different browsers but firefox display dosnt match that of IE, opera.do u know wy that happens.is that a problem with firefox per se,

Not sure about that. You might want to ask some of the more knowledgable users that use those browsers. I would post the question at [webmasterworld.com...] for browser info or maybe [webmasterworld.com...] for css issues. You will probably get an answer there.
