Links to my wesite are showing in Google results

but not the website itself

Hi, I'm new to this forum...and have a Google question.

I launched my site 3 weeks ago with about 12 links to other related websites. I just did a search in Google for my domain name (without the www or the .com part) and 3 results showed up. The results are links from 3 of the sites I have reciprocal links with.

My question is this: is this a good sign that Google knows about me and I can expect to be listed in the next update?

By the way, I get NO results if I type my domain name in with the www and .com

This is because those sites are already in google and it has found the text of your link in those pages.
It is likely that your site will appear in the results around the beginning of next month.

shady has it right, that is a good sign. The best thing you can do know is get listed in the major directories (ODP & Yahoo), and get links from other sites.
