When I asked for a site check-up, I was told that h1 tag can not be used more than once in a html design. Is there any url that I can read to learn about what's do or what's not for html design? something with semantics?

When it comes to the do's and don'ts of html, this is my reference of preferance: http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/

I was looking specifically at H tag documentation, and according to the document you can use H1 more than once.. eg. H1 H2 H1, but it's NOT recommended to skip a header.. eg. H1 H3 H1.
