Hi,
I have installed Apache on w2k and everything is fine, but on w98 nothing is fine.
Well, let me explain a bit more.
I have MS Instaler v.2 as a part of w98SE.
If it instal, I think it does, but in an incomplite way i think.
Monitor Apache servers has ''no services installed''? So, it can't run.
I have edited it like localhost on 80.
Is it about some Win component? Or do I need to instal it like 'for current user only'?
Every suggestion is welcome.
thanks :-)

Apache 2.0 is very buggy on Windows 98 - and it is not a recommended install. I once got it to work on 98, but via the command line only, and the Services monitor didn't appear to work at all.

You really need Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Windows XP (or a Unix platform such as Linux, obviously) to run Apache, sorry.

Yes, I do have it installed on a second partition on win2000. The point is that I do not navigate with w2k but with w98 and becouse of this it is more practical to me with on line readings/tutorials having it in front for learning. So, you are a pessimist? ;-))
