Just created an htaccess file for the first time - in order to redirect some pages that I had renamed.
instructions were to create the file - upload it to root directory - and then rename it to .htaccess
I did this and it all works fine - the only thing that confuses me is that the htaccess file is no longer visible.
I uploaded the txt file as 'untitled' - once it was on the server, I renamed it to .htaccess - and then I couldn't see it - is this normal?
If I want to edit it, should I rename the untitled file on my hard drive to .htaccess, edit it, and then upload

madcat - can't help I'm afraid - I'm not using cute - I use WS FTP
I just went to start up options and the put '-al' in the remote file mask box.
Just one more question though related to redirects ...
I currently have one line only in my htaccess file - I only have one redirect to do - if I have another page to redirect do I just enter another redirect line below this.
