how i can use sendmail to create a webmail for my visitors and friends

yes ,it is so confusing..........

i tried to understand what is sendmail programme or how can i add webmail for my members in my site?
but it was sooooo confusing , i cant understand
can i ask for help? simple explanation?
also i want to know how i can build a password system for that e-mail?

sendmail is the way your server handles email internally. like from forms that people fill out on your page and the form sends you an email with the results.

webmail is different. you will need to install a special script to make this available to your members. your hosting company may or may not allow this.
there are web mail companies that will host it for you. do a search for remotely hosted web mail on google.
