Hi,
Could somebody tell me how members are allocated their status (eg. New User, Junior or Senior Member?).
And at what stage should a newbie webmaster (like myself) start to post messages outide the 'New to Webmaster' forum?
Thx and happy New Year.

You'll see the answer in Community Forum. The actual cutover figures have changed a little, and posts in some forums e.g. Local and Supporters don't increase one's count.

As for helping others, you might be a newbie in your eyes but you're bound to know something that another newbie does not. If you are reasonably confident of your reply, just jump in with some disclaimer if you wish.

There is no restriction requiring you to post only in that forum.

BTW, I do hope that the unfortunate term "junior member" is dropped (no pun intended) at some point ;-)

Simple really, there are no restrictions to when and where you can post, just use your judgement. most of the other forums are about more specific subjects, this is a catcha-all one really so if you have something specific on say CSS, post it in the CSS forum.
