MSN Sandbox?

Introduced a sandbox or just plain hopeless?

Hi all,

A new site, clean, quality nothing out the ordinary, circa 75 pages went live two weeks ago, msn, yahoo, google sent info, all spider within a few days. Site being added to various directory sites for links and news reals etc, etc

The site starts showing in all of the SERPS.

In MSN its ranking 19, 12 and 9 for certain keywords which you would expect as at 28/8. Today 31/8 its zapped, gone from the index! i cant find it anywhere for any keyword unless i do site:widget

Either:-
a) im being ahead of myself and its still updating, should know in a few more days, see if it comes back
b) MSN is as hopeless as we expect it to be and its just not updating
c) The SERPS did a roll back or something and some sites are missing
d) i was hit with an instant penaulty for something i dont know about.
e) They have introduced a sandbox for new sites.

Anyone have any similar experience?

I have had a similar experience going from over 250 pages indexed and first page SERPS listings to now only having 9 pages indexed and dissapearing for all my keywords. I was ranking high for about 2 months after launching a month or so prior. Now I am zapped. Only thing I can think of is that I launched another site from the same IP. The siter is totally unrelated.

I've seen no indications of anything similar to a sandbox on MSN, at least for my sites.

My new sites seem to very quickly start having some (admittedly modest) visibility in MSN. The equivalent visibility (e.g. position in the SERPs for moderately non-competitive KWs) seems to occur around 3 - 4 months later on Yahoo and 9 or more months later on Google.

i have the same problem , a couple of my sites had very good rankings (over 1000 pages indexed) until a week ago when suddenly i had only 9 pages index (on both of them) and a major drop in rankings.
i think its a penalty .

I am seeing a site go up and down first page results and has had no changes to page. Rampid since Friday night. 2, 4, 6 and at last check 4
