Just noticed that Bing is now showing results in two columns, on desktop (wide screen).
As a result, the 10 first results are showing on the screen, without requiring to scroll.

I thought it was interesting move. It's been a long time I 've been advocating Search engines to better use all the space on big screens, and not only focus on mobile devices.

Bing for web search is not bad but I do not like it for the site: search function (which is what this local search has always done) on this site because it does not seem to search anything here to find what you're trying to find. When it does find results, it throws in a LOT of unrelated results. I use the search in the menu bar above expecting to find things here and it goes to bing and searches the web but can't find what I'm looking for locally. It is not doing a search of this site for most of my site: searches. Since I get no results, I can't see the two column effect. I have given up trying in here. I'll try it for external searches and see how that looks. It is not my favorite SE but better than google I guess.
