Bing has added updates to its intelligent search, announced in December, 2017. [webmasterworld.com]

Bing is now aggregating facts for certain topics from multiple sources, along with definitions for certain words which aren't common knowledge.
Over the coming weeks Bing will be rolling out multiple answers for how-to questions.
The intelligent image search is now extended to cover all top fashion categories.

Bing goes on the explain that the intelligent capabilities are run on its Project Brainwave, built on Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) to enable scaling of the service.

I just happened to come across this tidbit. Interesting. I was just checking in to see if any Bing updates to seek out some troubleshooting on my own sites. So this?
Bing now aggregates facts for given topics across several sites for you, so you can save time by learning about a topic without having to check several sources yourself. For example, if you want to learn more about tundras, simply search for “tundra biome facts” and Bing will give you facts compiled from three different sources at the top of the results page.

Unfortunately Bing topics come here to die. This blog post literally makes me sick to my stomach. I realize this type of behavior will come to a head at some point, but it's utterly disgusting. I love the part "without having to check several sources yourself", which means you don't need to venture out into the web.

I don't get the webmaster community as a whole. Where is the passion? Where is the care? This stuff really matters. It's predatorial. Look at Bing video. It's hosting the videos! Who needs the web. All Bing needs is the tools to scrape it, then host it. So you host it or create it so they can scrape it.

For me at least, this type of thing is to the core. I know the defense is always about "it's just facts". Well, three sources that didn't get visitors that didn't get a revenue generating opportunity. If Bing is paying, then it's a bit more palatable. But they aren't. Are they? They have all the videos. Check some #*$!. No need to go anywhere other than Bing video for that.

On one hand they create webmaster tools. Then on the other hand they write stuff like "without having to check multiple sources". Where is the passion or care folks?
