Firefox Now With Bing [bing.com]
So today we’re teaming with Mozilla to release Firefox with Bing, a version of the popular Web browser that includes default search settings for Bing. Now Firefox users who are Bing enthusiasts can use Firefox with Bing to use the Web the way they want without having to take extra steps to navigate or customize their settings to Bing.

... but it's still an option, rather than the Only Way.

It's been obvious for a while that FF has lost its way, but now they've really jumped the shark.

I downloaded and installed FireFox 3 months ago and got a popup box asking me if I want Google to be my default search, on a windows machine. The P.C. is 3 months old so switching to Bing is new.

I use Bing now since Google seems to have lost their ranking way. 6 months ago I would have told you that I'd never use anything but Google since it would be like using a 2nd best engine but that's not true anymore. unless google stops with the ranking shenanigans (and creepy data gathering) I don't see me changing my default again.

Wow! What's next? Opera changing over to Bing?

I use Bing on my iPhone because Google's app never gets it right for me when I am trying to find a place.

Lets see... first Facebook and Yahoo, now Firefox! The wheels of change are slowly beginning to turn. Next, Apple or the iPhone?

I whole heartedly agree.

It's funny how Google told everyone just to accept the change six months ago, and now it looks as though it's Google themselves in denial about the state of their affairs.

finally FF! I guess someone woke up over there at mozilla! i've long said FF is just feeding its own demise by putting its users right in the camp of someone that is making a product that is aimed right at the FF market share.

I use Bing in Firefox and on my Android phone as the default search engine. I get better results. For mobile, I get a much better experience with Bing, also.

I wonder if a button that says "this site is google tracking free" would catch on.

I think it's good to see. It is important to note that it's not just Bing for FF, which is shame. I'd love to see more market share taken away from Google and fast. They've been messing around way too much over the last couple of years and especially in 2011..

WoW! Didn't realise that bing had got so popular; it's much to spammer-friendly for me.

Google has its moments, but never flags in it's search of ways to stop the rot. Go Google.

I'm glad to see the Mozilla folks smelling the coffee which Google has been brewing with Chrome et al... one reason G got where it was came from the pact between G and M in the "early daze" (sic). Then G brought out their own call home track 'em all browser and thumbed nose.

Bing might be owned by MS, but Bing is not as inaccessible as MS. These folks are really working at earning your (our) respect. I'd have to go back and check when I hardcoded my FF to Bing... but somewhere around ver 3.6x that happened... running 7.0.1 now (with noscript) and never been happier.

I agree, fast and slick!... serious compatibility/usability issues with facebook though. A little disappointing in that respect.

I do FB... never had a problem... then again, I'm pretty simple there, no games, etc. Most times I'm like Jack Webb on the Web: "Just the Facts, Ma'am..." (which was never used in the show!)

I'm not doing games there either, only simple day to day family and friends stuff. Page all skewed and text boxes scattered all over the place when i try to load it with FF 7.0.1, i even get a compatibility warning from facebook telling me i need to upgrade my browser...go figure.
