use of noindex and nofollow for privacy page and alike

Hi everyone,

My first time on WebMasterWorld.

I'm wandering if noindex and nofollow are good ways to avoid html pages like privacy, legal notice, colophon or contact us to be indexed.

Would you agree with me that it is better not to index those generic pages.
