Project Gatineau, Microsoft's new, free web analytics service, is ready for beta testing and the first invitations are now being sent to customers.
To manage Project Gatineau's growth and give customers the best web analytics service possible, the beta is by invitation for US advertisers only for the moment.

I'd love to use the service.
However, adCenterEU, I'd like to know the main advantages over G Analytics before I do a switch, if you can give such an overview.
Project Gatineau is closely related to adCenter – for example, adCenter customers will be able to use their existing account to access Project Gatineau if they choose to use the web analytics service.
But it also a full-fledged web analytics offering with a lot of great reports and tools for measuring your site traffic and understanding your visitors:
- Click and visitor tracking
- Marketing campaign reporting
- Conversion tracking
- Demographic and geographic segmentation
- Paid and natural search analysis
- Visitor information including browsers, languages, operating systems and resolutions
You will need to create an adCenter account but you won’t need to buy any advertising – the account can be used for Gatineau only.
Hope this gives you a handle. Why switch, why not run both and compare?
