Average Position Mis-Reporting

I have a few adgroups on MS adCenter which are getting good impression numbers, but clicks & CTR are very low.

The strange thing is that I am being told by adCenter that my average possition is 3 for most of the keywords/adgroups despite none of the ads being shown on the first page never mind possition 3!

If anybody could suggest any better way to judge the possition of my ads I would very much appreciate it :)
