Is the only way to do this is bid on hundreds and thousands of keywords?

Probably.

Try bidding high on some of the big terms.

Try bidding on the word "google" (hehe... evil smile). See how many impressions you get, then imagine if your advert had a 10% CTR...

That would answer the question I guess.

I don't think MSN even receives a million impressions a month ;)

My recommendation would be to bid $50/click on "real estate"

The traffic is so low on MSN that I don't even bother checking the results anymore. I'd love to spend more money for increased traffic.

I thought the content impressions would help but have not had any since entering the program.

I'm right there with you...the amount of traffic from MSN and the monthly cost is barely worth my time, compared to Y and G. The worst part of it is that MSN adcenter has made it so frickin' difficult to maintain the account that I want to give it up altogether. You can't pause individual keywords, it takes forever to change individual bids, match types etc. They don't even give you the cost per conversion figures, so when analyzing my account, I have to do the math in my head to determine if things are going well or not - not too difficult to get an approximate CPA, but I can't sort by that, making it tough to pick out my good adgroups (I have 360).

...and Ballmer said he was going to "f-ing bury google." What a dork.

OP- thats a funny title "Is there a way to get millions of clicks a month"

I try to spend money with Adcenter though, lately, with these botched relevancy changes I can't justify investing the time to manage my campaigns. It's simply bad ROI(t)

To get millions of clicks/month, try Google Adwords...
