Adcenter Bug Sees Positions Drop

Heres something strange to report from adcenter:

We have a few orders running which are all fine and showing for the top 5 results on any of our targeted searches.

Yesterday we deleted one of the orders to clean out some ineffective keywords and proceeded to make another order that was similar.

Previously for the deleted order we had been ranking avg position top 5 for our targeted keywords but this morning.....I looked at our account and saw avg positions 195.6! These are exactly the same keywords suddenly down 190 odd positions!

All our other orders are fine so id appreciate any pointers from adcenter on this? Ive contacted support but no answer so far.

Hi TravelPixel

There is a known issue with some advertisers where the average reported position is higher than expected.

The adCenter team are aware and hope to release a fix as soon as possible to recitfy the behaviour.

Can I also ask is the reported position the actual position or is it just a problem with the reporting?

Ok, Ive just had a fairly annoying and unhelpful response from the adcenter support saying the reason our ads are in position 190+ is because we are not bidding enough.

Now if the support person in question had read the email properly from us they would have discovered that the ads were showing 3 days ago in the top 10 positions. Jeez.

In addition taking a look at our account all orders average positions from 1-30 ish....except the one in question which is sitting pretty at around 160! lol, its so frustrating you have to laugh when I get this response.

In further addition the rep doesnt seem to be aware of the technical issue that adcenterEU raised in the earlier post. Surely its a good idea to inform staff of potential problems advertisers could encounter?! Im sure not every advertiser has the time or inclination to seek out advice on here. So that was worrying.

So no progress as yet in solving this issue.
