Adcenter Temorarily Unavailable

OK it is the weekend but when I tried to log into Adcenter from the UK this morning I got this message:

We’re building a better adCenter!

Access is temporarily unavailable while we make upgrades and improvements. All campaigns will continue to run normally during this process, and you should be able to sign in to your account again on Monday, 9 October, 2006 at 00:00 GMT.

There wasn't any warning of this happening. How about a quick e-mail or message on the Adcenter home page? Now I am locked out of account access :(

I also didn't see any notice of this. I'm losing patience with AdCenter as it's so much messing about for a little traffic, and now this...

Let's hope something big happens to make it better.

Great, without knowing my adcenter spend, I don't know if I made a profit yesterday or not... and if not, that means I could keep losing money all weekend.

Hi everyone,
I want to apologize for the lack of notice on this. We intended to send an email out to all our customers to let you know about the scheduled maintenance, as we usually do, but I just found out that the email didn't go out because of technical issues, which we're still investigating.

Again, I am sorry about this, and thank you for your patience. adCenter will be available again Sunday, Oct. 8 at 5:00 P.M. Pacific Time.

I'm not real happy about this. There were campaigns I needed to edit that I could have gotten done before the shutdown but now they're running all weekend because I was planning to do them last night.

I don't check the adCenter blog every day but I do check this forum. After I saw it was down I looked on the blog and saw the notice.

I had come to expect to see a notice on this forum because it has happened when there were previous updates scheduled. I'm really disappointed that one was not posted here this time.

yeah it would be nice to know about this ahead of time. I like to do Adcenter work on the weekend because it's faster. Runs more like you're on a 28.8 modem rather than like a 2400 modem during the week.

It's back up, but as slow as usual. Whatever they changed hasn't made an immediate impact (apart from kicking me out for no reason on the first login attempt).

Stats appear to be AWOL too, either that or taking ages to complete.

Why did I even bother staying up?

Well either the stats are screwed up or my ads weren't in fact showing as normal thru the weekend. I have 10 clicks recorded across two campaigns for Saturday and nothing for Sunday!

Hello,

On the campaigns screen underneath the list of campaigns Microsoft provides data on what time the information was last updated. As of this post the information is up to date as of:

Performance data last updated on 10/8/2006 10:00:00 AM Pacific Time (GMT - 8)

There is no reason to get hysterical about traffic being "2% of normal". The stats are just out of date.

Hi everyone,
I can confirm what jim2003 says - reporting data is delayed. The support team has let me know that it should be caught up tomorrow morning Pacific time. I will keep you posted as I learn more.

breny - I apologize for not posting here about the system maintenance - I will post about system updates here in the future.
