An overhelming number of post here are very negative regarding Adcenter. Currently none of my competitors are using Adcenter, however we have an epic battle going with each other with adwords and ysm for a couple of years. Our organic rankings are great on yahoo and google, with the addition of ppc and cpm our traffic is vey good on those SEs.

My question is, our traffic from msn is up and down due to irratic up and down rankings...should I wait uptil all the bugs are worked out before participating in adcenter, or could jumping in right now create a windfall despite the apparent problems with the system.

Or am I just asking for trouble than it is worth at this point?

I can't answer your question of whether it's a good time or not however I have the same situation as you do - competition in Y/O & AdWords.

This morning I tried to open an AdCenter account.

After a little back & forthing and getting used to the new interface I finally managed to upload one small campaign.

I was called away so I logged off and decided to try and add more later.

Well I just spent 15 minutes trying to add a second group of keywords and was told that there was an "Unidentified SLQ error". I started over and was told that "the system is busy, try again later".

Not a good start MS.

Adcenter is quite difficult to get the hang of. But once you do the quality of traffic is very good.

It will be worth your while to figure out the system especially if your competitors are not using it.

Tropical Island,
I'm sorry to hear about the error you're seeing. I'm wondering if you're still experiencing it. If so, would it be possible to get a screenshot so I can look towards a resolution?
Thanks,

adCenter411:

I was able to upload a new series of search terms early Monday morning.

How long does the approval process normally take?
