Hi,

I am about to start a new phase careerwise, really into the idea of designing websites. I am a newbie really, quick to learn but wanting to learn the right things and all in a rapid timeframe.

Can you experienced webbies point out a few good books dealing with the web design process, I have bought the complete Studio 8 software package.

I ought to add I am interested in making websites to generate a source of income. If this matters.

Cheers, Shaku007.

I have found that the "Missing Manual" series by O'reilly are the best. Don't waste $$ on any Adobe books. They are almost as lame as the manuals that come with the products.

Hi, thanks for the heads up, I ordered a copy of the "Missing Manual" series by O'Reilly. I also dropped Dreamweaver for a bit, until I can get ahead on the learning curve. Using RapidWeaver for the time being, easy to get a grasp and a quick start is important. DW will be used later in the summer. Spoiled using a Mac, normally flow with intuition and all is fine.

Any other books, etc? Fire a posting or email.
