We are thinking of setting up a Macintosh community (Software Directory, News, Macintosh related updated, .. etc). I have talked to few friends, however some tend to think that in coming years Macintosh will be no where to found and time spend on creating such community would be a total waste as a long term investment.
So what meant to ask was.
What do you think about the future of Macintosh? or Does Macintosh have a future big enough to invest in setting up a 'worthwhile' community for it?
Again thank you for your help.

Of course, if you do set up this "community", they'll tell you that themselves....
Even WebmasterWorld has a Mac community, as you found for yourselves when you discovered a whole thread devoted to Macs....

There are active community sites out there for the Newton... so it doesn't matter if the "theme" of a community is in current production. Community sites require a bit of nurturing and care for them to really take off. Typically this means the community starter is pretty fervent about the "theme," so if you have to ask...
