The company's Security Update 2006-003 patches 31 flaws in the Mac OS X, most of them serious enough to cause "arbitrary code execution attacks."

Apple also shipped QuickTime 7.1 as a major security overhaul to correct 12 code execution and denial-of-service flaws.

... independent security researcher Tom Ferris told InfoWorld the latest patch doesn't cover other critical holes he reported to Apple (...) Ferris said there were still holes in Safari, QuickTime, and the iTunes application that he reported to Apple but were not patched in the latest release.

Some potentially nasty stuff in this one, which serves as a reminder that it's nice to get patches before the actual exploits arrive. :)

Also of interest:

Flash Player contains critical vulnerabilities ...<snip>... This update addresses the issue by incorporating Flash Player version 8.0.24.0.

All OS X 10.3.9 and 10.4.6 users will automagically be running the most current version of Flash after this update.

Where or how do you get these patches?
