Strange sound behavior

Sound will not play in any media players

This is weird, on my iMac G5 under 10.4.3, music plays fine in itunes and I get all of my system sounds, but with quicktime, real and windows media I get no sound.. just video. This just started last week.

I can't seem to find the problem. Anyone have any ideas?
