Limewire files & how to access them

Downloaded some music for a website, now how do I access it?

Ok, so I tired Limewire for the first time. Needed some music for a website I'm making. The good news is that I found the files I needed, the bad news is that I can't find them on my computer anywhere! I can listen to them by signing back into Limewire, but that won't help me to put the files into a website.

Any ideas on where I can locate these files? I'm running OS 10.4

It depends on where you have Limewire saving them to, found in Limewire's Preference panel ... You probably don't need reminded, but there may be some legallity issues depending on what music you downloaded and are planning for commercial use. -- There are certain cases where the artist needs to approve a request for the piece of work before public/commercial use. Just my 2¢. Be careful, and cover thy --- bases.

Hi, that's great, thanks Zak! I found the files. Yes, I'm aware of copyright issues, although I think these are ok... some classical music and possibly Mission Impossible for a personal site. The classical music should be ok (Mozart, Beethoven), but the Mission Impossible maybe not. If it's just for a personal site it might be ok, I hope...

The classical music is probably not acceptable for you to use unless you have the permission of the performer. For example: Beethoven published Fur Elise in 1810 and I'm fairly certain that his estates claim to the copyright has expired. However, When the New York Symphony Orchestra performs Fur Elise, the Orchestra owns the copyright to the performance and any recordings of the performance.

Hmmm, kind of a sticky issue then. I wonder how I could find out for sure if I can use the music royalty free... who/where could I check with (I realize this is getting a bit off-topic now)...

Good idea. I've downloaded several, so once pick the one I'd like to use, will ask about it.
