Will a Mac Monitor work if connected to a PC?

I have the chance of buying a 21 inch MAC Monitor on very attractive terms, but I do not know if I can just plug the thing into a normal PC and it will work.

Any ideas please

Depending on what model display it is, it will have one of two connectors:

1) an ADC connector
2) a DVI connector

You will need one of the following for your PC:

1) a ADC to VGA adapter
2) a DVI to VGA adapter
3) a video card that supports DVI

The adapters are pretty cheap, usually about $20 - $30 on ebay. Also keep in mind, that depending on what display you are getting, your video card may not be compatible, you may want to check into this.

You looking at a monitor or panel? apple has b-stock panels on their site with /699.00/ 20-inch (viewable), 1680 x 1050 optimal resolution, 16.7 M colors, DVI, 2 port USB 2.0, 2 FireWire 400 ports, VESA compatible. Whatever you're trying should work with little to no effort unless you have a ten year old video card.

... and if he's got an 'off the shelf' PC, even thought the video card is VESA compliant, the connector used is still VGA. An adapter will still be required.
