hihi,
my client is thinking of doing a website for its club member. he'd like to hv a photo album section & let members to upload photos to it. is there anyt software (i guess it's kind of 'uploader') in the market which allows MAC user to upload tons of photos in one go?
thx for advise!

If it is a website, and it's a web-based interface they're looking for, this could be easily done with PHP. I don't see why it needs to be Mac specific. PHP would allow for Windows and Mac users to upload through the same script.

Unless I am not understanding your question...

Yes, I agree a web-based PHP script is the best way to go. It is compaitible with all platforms and gives you a lot more control than just giving your client some FTP software to mess around with or something...

thx zak! maybe i dun state it clear... actually my client has already got kind of 'photo album' service for members, & some of them, which are mac users, complain that they can only upload those photos one-by-one, instead of uploading it in batch. hence he give us this requirement...

Without understanding or knowing what your client actually is using, I cannot make any othe assumption than 'maybe the Mac users are using an out-of-date browser?' If the web-form has is a multi file upload, like that of a lot of "web-builders" out there including Geocities, that contains a JavaScript which asks "How many files would you like to upload?" I would think this might be the case. If it is not, without more details about what your client has, and what they would like, I don't know what else to suggest other than re-writing the PHP/PERL/ASP/CFM/JSP page ;0)

i view multimedia works good on the mac. You can easily go to versiontracker.com and search photo blog, photo web etc.

I agree php is the best way to go. I've noodled with coppermine etc, can someone recommend a php gallery script that is SE friendly?

cheers
