One of our shiny new 20" iMacs has Blue Tooth built in, it is left on 24/7 but is in sleep mode after hours, so about 15 hours a day it is sleeping.
The problem is that the mouse is going through batteries once a month. Is this normal? or is it because the mac is on all of the time and is some how being drained by the Mac?
Thanks in advance....

I don't know about the Macintosh Blue Tooth mouse, I don't have experience with it. But our Logitec Blue Tooth mice here at the office get about that. About a months worth of battery usage. We went and bought rechargable batteries and a charger for every station, so when they run out, they just switch batteries and charge the old. Have you looked into rechargables?

I have not looked in to the rechargables yet... I wanted to see if this was normal, apparently it is.
Now I'm off to Costco to pick up sone rechargables...
Thanks for the input Izaki

You can also switch off the mouse to save batteries...

Here in the UK we can get 2000 m/a hour Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. A top ranking alkaline battery has a capacity of about 2600 maH, so these last nearly as long. With 1000 recharges, no memory problem and a charger that fits in a conventional mains electricity outlet like a large plug, I'm not going back to throwing batteries into the waste every month!

I get about 2 months from rechargable batteries. If you leave the mouse halfway on the mousepad the redlight starts flashing a lot.
