In MacOs X the program is probably in the Applications folder as a package. Just delete it.
You may find there are preferences (plist files) for it in the System Library folder and the Library folder of any account that has accessed it. You can delete those too.
And that's normally the end of it.
Many installers leave a log so you can see what went where as a double check.

In MacOs9, it may have installed some system extensions. Working out which ones isn't quite so easy, but if there are no side effects from them, leave them there in the extensions folder.

Apple Menu > System Preferences > Accounts > Startup Items
Don't uncheck the item, select it and hit the "delete" key on your keyboard or click the "-" minus sign below the list.
