CSV to Appleworks

Want to insert CSV file to Appleworks spreadsheet

I receive a monthly CSV File that I want to insert/open in an ongoing Appleworks spreadsheet. This is a monthly list of donors to our mission. Many are regulars, some are infrequent.

I want to be able to setup a system whereby I can see those who have not been donating and send them a reminder AND send a THank You to first time donors. Is this possible with Applescript?

I run Mac OSX 10.3.8 and Appleworks 6.

The short version: Yes, AppleWorks is scriptable.

The long version:
Applescript has a very steep learning curve. It's not that easy to grasp for a newbie. The best advise I can give you is to invest in one or more book on the subject:

Then, when you have found your two list, it ought to be possible for you to even automate the sending of emails by scripting Mail.
