New to OSX webserver

Up until this point I have developed websites primarily on Microsoft servers and a few on Unix servers. I have a new client who has just informed me that they are running a Mac OSX server for their website. What database and db connectivity web languages can I use to interface with their server? I've been using ASP to interface with SQL, Access and mySQL dbs. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

While you will need to direct these questions to the person running the server, out of the box, I believe MacOSX runs PHP and mySQL.

When you speak to the new client, you'll want to figure out which breed of Mac user you're dealing with. If you're lucky, they'll be the Unix kind, that use open source Unix tools like the ones already mentioned, which you're probably familiar with.

If they're "the other kind" of Mac users, they may have a FileMaker Pro database set up, in which case you may have got your work cut out for you learning FileMaker and Lasso. (Or else help them out by talking them into SQL.)
