I am trying to build an HTML email header for a business client. They want their company logo and slogan to automatically appear on outgoing emails - especially for marketing campaigns. I have done this with no problem on PCs using Outlook Express where you add 'stationary' to the HTML email. I can't work out how to do the same thing on a MAC using Microsoft Entourage. If anyone has experience of doing the same thing on a MAC I would love to know the answer.

But, to add a picture to everything you send, do this:
1) Go to the Tools menu, down to Signatures. And create a new Sig.
2) Turn on HTML formatting, if it is not on already (god, I cringe at this...I hate it when people send me HTML formatted stuff)
3) Go to the Message menu and select Insert, over to Picture. Chose the picture.
4) Name the Signature, close the window and save.
5) Create a new message and see if it shows up.
If it does not, you need to turn on HTML formatting for that account, and make sure that account has the default Sig set to the one you just made. (If you need more help, post again)
Or, if all they send are HTML messages, then you could add the graphic to a web server, and just make the reverence to it as you would an HTML page.
I use Entourage on OS X. I have an HTML signiture myself. Perhaps I can make this more clear for you...
1.) Open up Entourage
2.) Go to Tools > Signatures
3.) Select "New"
4.) Make the Sig HTML by pressing the ab red&blue icon on far left of window.
(Make sure curser is active in the text box where the HTML message goes) Or the menu will be greyed out as you mentioned you experienced.
5.) Back to menu: Message > Insert
6.) Make sure the image you select is .jpg file, I tried others and experience issues.
7.) Save signature
8.) Open a "New e-mail" Make sure the e-mail is set to HTML (by clicking the blue and red icon on the far left)
9.) Click curser in the main body.
10.) Select your HTML signature.
PRESTO! YOUR DONE.
Should work.. If this does not work for you, I don't know what will. I typed this as I actually did it to explore any issues you may be having.

Interesting... But perhaps if you are on a network he/she (your boss) could have some permissions set to keep you from making changes.
Will investigate more if I can grab a few min.

DiAMOndDavE: I have no idea what could be going on. eboda already suggested to go to the Format menu to make sure the HTML is selected, so I don't know what else to do. Do you see the HTML format buttons at the top of the signature typing area: Font, Size, (B)old, (I)talics, (U)nderline, etc? Are you able to make pretty HTML formatted sigs, without the picture? I'm thinking that maybe the sig prefs are corrupt.
I am able to do build an HTML email header easily on a PC using Outlook Express. What you do is build an HTML page in DW, for example, with the graphic and then save the file(s) to the Microsoft Stationary folder. You just can't do this on a MAC with Entourage which leads me to conclude that there is no equivalent folder/directory on a MAC for Entourage to look for 'stationary'?
That is correct. As far as I know, there is no equivalent "Stationary folder" and DW (I have no idea what that is) on a Mac. However, you can achieve the same results using a different method. So, it depends on what tools you have vs what you want to achieve. (i.e., The way you do it on a Windows machine will be different than on a Mac, but "you can get there from here," if you want.)
