AppleScript usage within Web Pages

I'm comfortable in an AppleScript [apple.com]ing enviornment but one thing which has concerned me with it in a server enviornment is security issues. So I keep the AppleScript extensions disabled. On my home computer I run WebSTAR for development services until I upload sites to the web server(real-time).

Has anyone done work with AppleScript for web pages and using them within the the server enviornment. I've seen a few AppleScripts written @ CGI-Resources [cgi.resourceindex.com] but I know there has to be more. Any suggestions on that a centralized location for AppleScript stuff for Web Servers and Web Pages?
