Right now, if I download a graphic - let's say a jpg - save it to the desktop, and double click, it wants to open the graphic in Photoshop. As you longtime Macheads know, opening PS on an older Mac can be excruciatingly slow (when all I want to do is just view the graphic!).
So I found a freeware graphics viewer called Jade that opens real fast, and I'd like to define *that* as the default viewer. If I want Photoshop, I would have to specifically open it. Otherwise, Jade would always open all my graphics by default.
Is there any way to do that?
(That's the way it works in OS 9, but I don't think they changed that function much from OS 8.5. If it doesn't work, I'll check my desktop machine -- running 8.6 -- when I get home. :) )
