I have a MR814 router for my wireless network that has a desktop and PDA hooked up. I am interested in getting an iBook, but was told I need the base station and a card. However the router says it is MAC compatible. Which is right?
Thanks,

Orginally posted this in Foo, but was told it belongs here.

To reiterate my post from FOO-

You should be just fine. Our office has Mac's hooking up on a D-link right now, and we had a Netgear before that where they worked just fine.

Both the iBook and the MR804 conform to the 802.11b standard, so they'll work together fine.

Some Macheads will say "You'll need an Airport" when they mean "You'll need a wireless basestation." This is just the way they operate -- when something goes wrong, they want to get on the phone with Apple and not anyone else.
