I am exporting the Javascript from Fireworks into dreamweaver. It works fine on netscape but on IE it just performs the rollover but delivers no dropdown menu!
Please help - where do I look first?
If I need to make DHTML stuff work in Mac IE, I check the User Agent, and write the functionality once for MacIE, and once for "everything else."
Maybe you won't have to do that. Do you want to post the code?
Finally got it to work - by ripping the menu apart I discovered an empty layer (a pop up menu with nothing in it) that was causing all the problems!
Every other browser I tested it on worked perfectly - so Internet Explorer alone cost me a full day of work, first trying to solve the prob in forums and then redeveloping the fireworks dhtml dropdown drop down menu (note the keywords - couldnt find any reference to this on the net at all!)
However - I am interested in networking with fellow professionals on a more personal basis - so we can share info more immediately and more effectively - I am talking about a small email list of about 10 developers or so - anyone interested?.
