Thinking of Buying an X-Serve. Consider this...

Ordered an X-Serve mid april delivery date is now 21 July.

In mid April I ordered an X-Serve and was given a delivery date of June 1, but was told at the time that they were shipping sooner than these projections. June 1 came and I still had no X-Serve. But an e-mail from the Apple Store did arrive with a new projected ship date of 21 July.

I have canceled my order and will be going back to Free-BSD on an Intel platform. If you are thinking of buying an X-Serve you may want to note that the ship date is only an estimate. I wish I had known this before I put off my server upgrade for 7 weeks.
