These been a storm over WordPress being forced bu Apple to Add In-App Purchases to its free WordPress install from Apple's app store.
Apple has backpedaled and aplogised.
We believe the issue with the WordPress app has been resolved. Since the developer removed the display of their service payment options from the app, it is now a free stand-alone app and does not have to offer in-app purchases. We have informed the developer and apologize for any confusion that we have caused.

Hello,

This is similar to the conflict between Epic and Apple/Google.

Apple is all powerful within the Apple ecosystem.

Predatory. These latest spats are evidence of this.

Further to this and rarely mentioned is their refusal to support the full functionalities of service workers within their OS/Browser, thus forcing developers to create native apps, and thus force them into them into the app-store eco-system.

Between FB, Google and Apple. Apple is often seen as the lesser of the evils, but this really isn't the case. They are simply more cunning and conniving in how they excerpt their dominance.
