Last weekend we went down the shore for a family vacation. My cousin starts talking about how she was playing Neverwinter Nights in the car on the way. Well, NWN happens to be my favorite game.
So I pull out my PowerBook, create a wireless network, and in five minutes we've got a network game. Sure, you can network PCs together, but that requires *planning.*
OK, so other cool things about OS X to check out.
Unix stuff:
1. Perl - pre-installed, and easy to connect to MySQL.
2. Shell Scripts
3. CRON - Schedule scripts and stuff.
4. Use only the Terminal for a week and pretend you're a Unix guru (or become one)
Cross-Platform Stuff:
5. Remote Desktop Connection - My favorite way to use a PC, i.e., without touching it.
"Other" stuff:
6. "Speak selection" - Boy was this ever fun back in college after a few drinks.
