iPhones and iPads Subject to CSS Code Which Causes Restarts

There's a report that a researcher has discovered a vulnerability in iOS and macOS using a WebKit rendering engine. The CSS code on a web page can cause the i{hone to restart.
The vulnerability can be exploited by loading an HTML page that uses specially crafted CSS code. The CSS code isn't very complex and tries to apply a CSS effect known as backdrop-filter to a series of nested page segments (DIVs).

Not sure where this is likely to go if all it does is cause the system to crash.

Bad news for those users in hotel rooms that may be metered by number of connections. Some bars in Vegas are like that.

I wish I could believe this is why my iPad crashes so often when I do online stuff. But alas, I think it's got more to do with the fact that it dates from 2011.
