Problems renaming files in Dreamweaver Site Manager

Are you sure you want to rename the read only file *filename*?

When renaming long filenames (over 31 chars) through the Dreamweaver site manager, I keep getting the error "Are you sure you want to rename the read only file filename?" When I click OK, I get the message "A file or folder with that name already exists". I checked the file attributes, ls -l, which came up 765 as they should be. I also ran a chflags -R nouchg on the site root. Still have the same problem. The filename I am renaming the existing file to does not exist in the folder. Any thoughts?

I can change the filename using finder, but that defeats the purpose of renaming the file in the site manager where my links are automatically changed to match the new filename.

I'm running 10.2 Jag, Dreamweaver MX 6.1
