I know someone that asked about this, and they will be interested to hear this news about Windows 10 and their Mac.

You can use Boot Camp to install Windows 10 on supported Mac models that have OS X Yosemite installed. Apple Says You Can Now Use Windows 10 on Mac With Boot Camp [support.apple.com]

That's good to hear. There are some schools, for example, who have bespoke software for coursework built on Windows. Thanks for posting this.

And, in some rare cases -- looking at you, ABBYY FineReader -- the Windows version of some application has functionalities that are simply missing from the Mac version.

natalystickens, there is a lot of software that the general population uses that is not available on Macs. Having the ability to run another OS on a Mac allows you to run the software. See lucy24's comment above yours for an example.

For my company, we need to see how certain websites and apps function on Windows. The ability to check these things, without a separate Windows machine, saves time and money.
