I went to launch Optilink today and I got a message saying "This application requires any version of Java 1.4.1, but only Java 1.4.2 and 1.3.1 are installed."

It was working OK over the weekend - the only thing I have done is to install an Apple security update this morning. Could this be the problem?

Can anyone help? Thanks.

This update probably included java version 1.4.2. Weird thing is that optilink site states :

OptiLink is written using the latest Java technology, so you must have the latest Java Runtime Environment, JRE Version 1.4.1 or later,

The software sniffs version 1.4.2 but refuses to run?

I would write optilink about that.

I run OptiLink v. 2.2.4 and with the recent most updates installed and the application is completely operational on my end.

Here is my specs if this helps:
G5 Dual 1.8
OS 10.3.3
1 gig SDRAM
Java 1.4.2 and 1.3.1

Hope this was some help.
